Busy Life and Back to Hamilton ...

Now that I am a full time housewife, mom, part-time insurance agent, and secretary for my husband's two businesses ... I am BUSY! No complaints here ... BUSY is good, especially when it involves having your kiddos with you and working at the same time!

To add to our wonderful, busy life, we closed today to start building our NEXT house. It is in Hamilton and on our acreage we bought last year! Very exciting, and I have my long list of things to do different from last time we built ... I will be picking out more of the little things ... fixtures etc. But, I won't get too attached, I know it will be for sale ASAP! :) When we move into this house it will be our 9th move since we were married in 2003!

Here are some pics of the place ... the rain did our tank really good and even filled the creek!

Our eventful time while dad was gone hunting ...

Just to warn you ... I wrote this really quick and did not read back over it ... maybe tomorrow! Please ignore any errors ...

Wow, it has been a while since I have had any time to blog! Lots to say ...

Jason went on a spur of the moment hunting trip on Tuesday, the 9th. He was eating at El Jardin for lunch with a friend and a hunting guide called and had a cancellation and so they got a "deal." So, my husband and three of his friends headed for Arizona that afternoon! VERY SPUR OF THE MOMENT! So, the kids and I were alone for the first time EVER! I decided that we would probably go to my parents for a few nights since Jason was going to be back FRIDAY, but I wanted to go ahead and stay at our house on Tuesday night, get the house cleanish, and then go and stay in Hamilton 2 nights. At 9:15 that evening, all was coming together ... Jentry was watching cartoons, Judson playing still, I had washed all the clothes and was going to pick up the kitchen the next morning, then go to Hamilton. Next thing I know my son runs through my room, trips on the rocker, and smacks his head on the door frame leading into the bathroom. Initially, from impact, it looked as if the bump was going in instead of out which I knew was bad. I called 911! 2nd time in my life I have ever done that (Shelley Hale can probably remember the only other time I ever called 911 ... whole other story). By the time the EMS people got there, I knew I had overreacted since I was home alone! But, better to be safe than sorry, I guess! Thankfully, I knew both the ladies (figured I would doing the AFLAC for the HGH employees). Jessica Sellers was one and she went in and watched Jentry for me while the other checked Judson out and confirmed that he was alright and just needed to be watched! Small town life is great and I was never so happy to see Jessica! I am extremely overprotective as a parent and was so glad she was the one I could have watch Jentry for those few minutes! I also called my parents after 911 and we ended up going ahead and staying with them that night too! So much for cleaning the kitchen the next morning (I thought about it until I got home again)!

Then, Friday, Jason was SUPPOSED to be heading back. He did get a mountain lion that morning ... he ended up getting home MONDAY at 8 am!!! Little different than the initial plan, but he had fun (though he REALLY missed the kids). His mountain lion is going in the record books too! Here's photos ...

Monday night, Judson decides to spin circles in the bedroom while taking a break from golfing. He trips and hits his head on the corner of the dresser! BOYS!!!! So now he had two knots on his head! Poor kid ... Terrible Two's have something to do with it too I guess! Photo follows that shows the bruise from the door frame above his right eye!

Just to clarify ... this was the first time Jason has ever gone anywhere since having kids! What a great feeling for him I'm sure to be on your way to AZ and get a call from the wife that she had to call 911 because your son's hit his head! Poor guy! He is WAY more overprotective than me ... if that's possible!

under the weather ...

i woke up monday with a sore throat and about 45 seconds later i hear judson cough and i can just tell that his throat hurts too! so, here we are on friday ... wait, now it's saturday ... and he is now coughing worse and has had a fever this evening! lovely. so, we are waiting to see how the night goes to decide whether or not we will have to make a trip to see the pediatrician in waco on a saturday morning ... thus far i think the otc meds are working ... dimetap, robitussin, and motrin! they had me give him regular robitussin ... not the children's ... so it does not taste good at all. he LOVES "mesidin" as he says, so i have to trick him and give him all the good stuff first, then throw in the nasty stuff last! then once he realizes he's been tricked he runs out of the room, because he knows i will try and make him finish up what's left in the little cup! haha! kind of humorous.

he did take a 3 hour nap this afternoon and we followed it up with a bath that included the soothing vapor bath that smells like vicks! he did like that ... here's a pic! :)

Merry Christmas!

I love this time of year! Really, I think it's just that I love getting together with my family and cousins! They are so fun to be around! Unfortunately, my cousins are all growing up and I don't see them very often because of all their school and social activities. For example, Ashlin was supposed to come to town on Sunday, but she stayed home to hang out with friends! Bummer! I think she was regretting it today when she was bored and she admitted it on her myspace page! :)

Also, I ordered myself a Christmas gift that I have wanted for years and finally broke down to buy myself ... a BREAD MACHINE! It should be delivered Christmas Eve! Woohoo! No need to feel guilty ... my husband ordered himself a gift too ... Rosetta Stone so he can learn Spanish! Haha!

Here are some recent photos ...

Miss Happy ...

Judson always wants to give sister kisses!

Judson is really enjoying being home all day while mom works!

Just a few recent photos ...

My grandma got a tricycle bike and Jason took Judson for a ride in the basket when we were there for Thanksgiving!

This is Jentry in her "this is my little black dress" shirt!

Here she is last week in her church outfit. Her Rhinestone Button Pants and her shirt that I bedazzeled a bit ... unfortunately, the bedazzles on the shirt left rust marks around themselves when I washed it! Doubt I can fix that problem!

And here's my cowboy riding his stick horse ... extra this week since the NFR has been on TV.

He looks so old in this picture! He's growing up so fast!

Random ...

I had to post this pic and hopefully my brother won't read this and hack into my account and delete this blog post! Haha! He REALLY could if he wanted I'm afraid!

I think this is a great picture! The older Judson has gotten the more my brother has really become "Uncle Jared." He is really good with Judson ... this is them in Jared's office the other day playing with the webcam on Jared's laptop. Judson waived at himself on the screen for like an hour, laughing the whole time. Jared decided it was a photo op and took advantage of the webcam camera!

Also ... since I feel like our family in complete with Jentry's recent arrival ... I am thinking about making our Christmas Stockings this year! (How I will find the time, I don't know) But, I hope to find something to assist me in this endeavor when I go to Waco next week for her two-month checkup ... I will have to check at my favorite store ... Hobby Lobby!

Also, I haven't ever bought a BIG Christmas tree since no one ever comes over to our house much! Last year I did get a small 3-4 ft. one to set up high ... since Judson was only 1 and a big one could have been dangerous! I might be CHEAP though and wait and buy a tree and all the decorations I would want AFTER Christmas and just put up a nice one next year ... when we hopefully are in our new house and out of this rent house! :) I am very CHEAP ... I know ... but I would hate to spend twice the $ when I know it will all be so much cheaper on 12/26!
